This Privacy Policy explains how Recovr, Inc. (“Recovr”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit recovr.app or use the Recovr service.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, start a trial or create an account, we collect details such as your name, email address, company and any message you send.
Information from eBay. When you connect an eBay account through eBay’s OAuth flow, we receive the data needed to run the service. This includes dispute and case details, related order and shipping information, buyer messages on those cases, and listing details. We never receive or store your eBay password.
Billing information. If you subscribe, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive only limited information, such as the card type and last four digits.
Usage and device information. Our servers and hosting providers automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. We use it to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide the service: sync disputes, gather evidence, draft responses and, with your approval, submit them to eBay
- send alerts you’ve asked for by email, SMS or Slack
- respond to enquiries and provide support
- process payments and manage your subscription
- secure the service, prevent abuse and fix problems
- improve Recovr and understand how it’s used
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your eBay data or your buyers’ data for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run Recovr, such as hosting, form processing, email and SMS delivery, and payment processing. They may use it only on our behalf.
- with eBay, when we submit a response or evidence to a case on your behalf.
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Recovr, our users or others.
- in a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
Third-party services on our website
Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts and styles from a third-party content delivery network. These providers may receive your IP address when your browser requests those files. We don’t use advertising trackers.
Data retention
We keep account and dispute data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or disconnect an eBay store, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it, for example billing records.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- disconnect your eBay account at any time from Recovr or from your eBay settings
- access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us
- opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, reach us through our contact form.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, along with other safeguards described on our Security page. No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
Children
Recovr is a business service and isn’t directed to anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify account holders by email or in the app. The “Last updated” date above always shows the latest version.
